How I Got Here
Just a few short years ago, I was entangled in a less-than-healthy marriage trying to be the perfect wife and mother to 5 children. The likelihood of succeeding was slim as I was fighting a 2-decade-long losing battle. I was under so much stress that I developed a rare autoimmune condition that wreaked havoc on my ever-swelling body. It was painful, exhausting, and disfiguring.
A tumor was eventually removed from my pituitary gland and my body began to heal. Determined not to fall back into the old patterns that got me there in the first place, I took a risk and left my marriage. I had 4 young children, no income, no savings, and no family nearby. It was just before my 49th birthday.
I lost my home, many friends, community connections, identity, and all that I had invested myself in for 2 decades. I was depleted physically, emotionally, financially, and in every other way. What I DID have was a vision -- an idea of what my future could hold if I just kept pushing forward.
So I did.
A long and contentious divorce ensued, and I simultaneously underwent a series of surgeries from the residual mess of the original tumor. I had a long way to go, but I began putting myself back together. I focused on my personal development and my professional growth, and along the way I learned to reclaim myself, my power, and my life.
As a certified transformational coach, my mission is to inspire others to harness their power within to make intentional and purposeful changes so they can be, have or do anything they truly desire!
